  • kris & lindy, on 12 Nov 2008 @ 12:35 am:

Don’t worry — you can tell us we’re funny every *day*, if you wanted! It won’t get old. :-)

  • Sarah, on 12 Nov 2008 @ 9:14 am:

Hey!!!! Why boycott an entire state for the actions of one organization?! So if Starbucks does something stupid do I boycott Seattle?! And remember this, the most avid anti-Mormons live in Utah!

That is it, I demand that you rectify your actions by getting down here and visiting me.

  • notJoeKing, on 20 Nov 2008 @ 4:28 pm:

Just catching up on episodes and I’m ROFL at 55 being about the importance of EVERYONE voting then ending with kids singing “You can vote however you like” but you immediately follow that up with an episode about wanting to punish people for getting out the vote and for voting “however they like”. So was the real message of 55, “Get out and vote but only if you vote the way we want”? And where is the episode about boycotting African Americans since they voted for Prop 8 overwhelmingly and since they should also (according to your logic) “know a thing or two about oppression”? Looking forward to that politically incorrect episode… unless you’re just planning stick to the politically acceptable practice of hating on Mormons.

  • kris & lindy, on 25 Nov 2008 @ 11:35 pm:

Just for the record, we don’t actually condone the boycotting of a state. We tried to present that idea in a way that underlined the absurdity of such a thing.
We are, naturally, very much against Prop. 8 (and are therefore FOR Gay Marriage) because it is an evil, bigoted proposition that had no place being on a ballot in the first place.
But we are also FOR the democratic process. So yes, of course we would love it if everyone voted the same way we do, but we realize that cannot — not should it be — the case.
But we are also very sad that the Mormon church decided to back the proposition with so much funding. But not because of Mormonism in general; because we believe that the teachings of ALL religion should be founded in a love for all human beings. Since Prop. 8 is nothing more than hate-mongering, any religious group that backs it is, in our opinion, violating one of the essential laws of the universe.
But yes, that is just our opinion.
But nothing against Mormons as people — some of our best friends are Mormon, and we are more than aware that not all Mormons believe the same thing.
    So, um…yeah. :-)

P.S. @notJoeKing — sorry your comment took so long to appear! It was eaten by our Spam filter and we just fished it out. We certainly weren’t trying to silence you or anything nefarious like that. Just technology trying to be smarter than us. Stupid technology. Thanks for watching, though!
